I started my puppy on blue buffalo when I got her at 3 months and she loved it! I just switched her to the adult version at 6 months. She still loves it and she also loves blue buffalo treats! Definitely recommend! I had a hard time picking a food that I felt would be good for her. I’m a worried dog mama and I feel blue buffalo was the best fit for her and will continue feeding her it and all my future animals it!goodExcellentWe recently added a new member to our family, a puppy Cocker Spaniel and she LOVES this stuff. What people fail to realize is puppy tummies are soooo sensitive and because this is a high protein food of your pup is not used to this food they will experience diarrhea or vomiting that is why you have to ease them onto this food, you have to ease any puppy onto any new food, start off by giving them what they are used to and adding alittle bit of this food do this for a week and every day add just alittle more until they are ready to be fed only this food. It’s a great brand for dog food and so far I have had bo issues buying it off of Amazon. We chose BLUE BUFFALO even though, at that moment in time, it was a little more expensive than most brands.Angel was never ill nor did he have any medical issues of any kind. He was always strong healthy and happy. Angel remained a member of our family for fifteen years.Though his food was always purchased at a retail store, I bagan using the Amazon Subscribe and Save feature in June 2020 for Angel’s 60lbs Large Breed Formula.My puppy (Aries) is 14 weeks old and joined our family June 2022.BLUE BUFFALO was the obvious choice.I purchased a 30 lbs bag of the BLUE BUFFALO - Puppy Life Protection Formula at a Petco retail store June 2022.Aries also responded well to the first bag of BLUE. I decided to continue using the Amazon Subscribe & Save feature to purchase the 60lbs Puppy Life Protection Formula as I had done in the past for Angel. The first Amazon delivery for Aries was July 14, 2022.I immediately noticed Aries would not eat as often or not at all after we began feeding him the BLUE product purchased from Amazon. I thought he may prefer a different flavor and began searching the Amazon website when I came across negative comments/reviews which caught my attention. These referred to counterfeit BLUE, differences in color, shape and size of the product sold by Amazon. Furthermore, loss of appetite or not eating was also a concern.I didn’t think it was plausible but considering my faith in the BLUE BUFFALO Brand, I decided to buy another 30lbs bag from the retail store PetSmart.To my amazement, as soon as I opened the bag of food - from PetSmart - Aries pounced on it and began licking the bag attempting to get to the food.My poor baby looked to have been deprived because he immediately ate a full cup. Moreover, after purchasing the BLUE from PetSmart he hasn’t stopped snacking each time he passes by his bowl.I separated the kibble from the Amazon and PetSmart bags and put them both in a small pile to compare. There most certainly is a difference between the two. Though subtle to the human eye, it is evident and obviously sufficient for my Aries to notice.PLEASE NOTE: I firmly stand behind the BLUE BUFFALO brand. In my opinion, any doubt in quality, whatsoever, should be placed solely on Amazon.The loss of a pet is heartbreaking. In addition to ordering a total of six 60lbs bags for Angel; I also ordered, from Amazon, Blue Buffalo True Solutions Jolly Joints Natural Mobility Support Adult Wet Dog Food to mix with his dry food because he began eating less or not eating at all. This was the first time in Angel’s lifetime I had to mix his dry food with anything to get him to eat. The last Amazon products were delivered September 2021. Angel passed December 2021.Simply put, it isn’t normal for my 14 week old Aries to exhibit the same behaviors as my 14 year old Angel.I always attributed the change in Angel’s eating habits and passing due to age. I do not want grief to lead me down a path of wondering and blame.However, I have asked myself ….When did this food situation begin? Is this a recent issue? Has it been ongoing? Did the prolonged consumption of the product sold by Amazon have any relevancy to the tumor which developed in Angel’s abdomen?From this moment forward, I will begin comparing all the nutritional products Aries consumes.I sincerely thank the individuals that posted their experience. This has taught me that reviews should be taken more seriously.I contacted Amazon support to make them aware of this post and my concerns. A full refund was issued. Nonetheless, what I hope is for the problem to be corrected by inspecting and recalling contaminated dog food.
